Kirsten Samson recently completed her first year of law school at the University of Alberta. Before entering law school, Kirsten completed bachelors and masters degrees in Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan. In her first two degrees, Kirsten was a teaching assistant with the Indigenous Student Achievement Pathways program, leading tutorials in Canadian politics. During her graduate studies, she researched political culture in Alberta and Saskatchewan, considering how federalism impacts the political landscape in western Canada. Kirsten has published research briefs on this topic with Viewpoint Alberta, a Common Ground Politics research project. In her free time, Kirsten enjoys running, gardening and spending time with her two kittens.
